The Adventure that never was......

Galibore aka Gali-BorinG is a jungle resort run by the govt somewhere on the banks of river cauvery. Now u would imagine if its run by govt. its gotta be good. And the answer is yes, this place is good. Its good because, to get there there arent any roads, its good because there is no electricity (everything runs on gensets) its good because there are no cellular signals and  finally its so good that even google maps has no signs of it.

Now, this is a perfect setting for an exciting, thrilling, awesome adventure and a weekend getaway you would think. Not quite. A lot more than just the place is needed to have a 'not so boring' adventure.

Well, what was good was.. i did'nt have to drive to the place myself and got all the time to spend with my camera..!!!!

;-P

Rain and everything it brings with it

It feels like a decade since the temperature was good enough for survival, in bangalore. I have grown up seeing a perfectly beautiful weather all through in this city. But i guess there is just so much concrete these days, minus the huge trees that have been cut off to make way for wider, faster roads, thats making this place as hot as a sauna.. I mean its so hot, and humid and so sticky and so yucky...that u just cant live..!!

But Mother nature, as always, likes to keep everything under her control... and huge lakes with lotsa water help her too..and the Result: A very early spell of rain and the temperature much cooler than what it had gotten to for over 2 months now.

And here are some pics..

look how sunny it is..and its raining

And before we realised it got very very dark...So dark that everything had a tinge of red. Then came the best part.. a chance to take pics of dew.

It isnt as dangerous as you think it is.

had to use a flash to get the white off of those flwrs

And this after everything cleared up
